Privacy

Junk Cost Calculator keeps data collection to a minimum. You can use the calculator and read every page without giving any personal information.

Who is responsible

Junk Cost Calculator is run from France, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to the data you send through this site. For anything about your data, email hello@junkcostcalculator.com.

Analytics

We count visits and quote-form steps in aggregate, for example how many times the form was seen or sent on a given day and on which kind of page. The form-step counts contain no personal data, and none of this uses cookies. We do not use advertising cookies and do not track you across other sites.

When you request quotes

If you submit the quote form, you give us your first name, ZIP code, email, your item list and, only if you add one and tick the consent box, your phone number. We use this to reply to your request and, when a local junk-removal company in your area partners with us, to pass your request to it so it can send you a quote. If you ask for your estimate by email, we send it once and do not add you to any mailing list. We do not sell your data for unrelated advertising.

Legal basis, recipients and retention

We handle a quote request because you asked us to, as a step taken at your request before any contract. Your request is stored with our database provider (Supabase), the site is hosted on Vercel, and emails are sent through Brevo; all three process data on our behalf. Partner junk-removal companies receive a request only once any exist in your area. We keep a request only as long as we need it to handle it, and delete it sooner if you ask.

Your choices

You can ask us to access or delete the information you submitted at any time. Email hello@junkcostcalculator.com or use the contact page. If you are in California or the EU/EEA, you have rights to access, delete, and opt out; email us and we will honor them. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France.
