Junkluggers, LoadUp and Dropcurb prices compared (2026)

Updated 2026-09-14 · US averages

Some junk removal companies post prices online and some only quote in person. This is what three national services publish, checked on September 14, 2026, with a link to each source. Prices change, so treat them as a starting point.

Junkluggers prices

  • Junkluggers' pricing page gives a range of $99 to $1,000 or more, priced by how much room your items take up in the truck. (Junkluggers)
  • Its minimum pickup is roughly the size of a washing machine, and one truck holds the contents of a studio or small one-bedroom apartment. (same page)
  • Heavy construction and dense materials, such as concrete or brick, are loaded only to a depth of one foot in the truck. Substantial extra labor, such as deconstructing furniture, bagging items or removing carpet, is billed at an hourly rate. (same page)
  • Estimates are free and on site, and Junkluggers says the final rate will never be more than the written estimate. (same page)
  • This Old House reports that Junkluggers does not give pricing information online or over the phone, so an exact price comes from an in-person visit and a written binding estimate. (This Old House, updated May 25, 2026)

LoadUp prices

  • LoadUp's Philadelphia page says pricing starts at $65 for a single bulky item, including labor, transportation and disposal, and offers a real-time online price generator. (LoadUp Philadelphia)
  • LoadUp lists hot tub removal from $875, with $870 for curbside pickup and $885 for same day. (LoadUp hot tub removal)

Dropcurb prices

  • Dropcurb publishes flat first-item prices in Philadelphia: trash bag $59, standard sofa $79, TV $79, queen mattress $99, appliance $109. (Dropcurb Philadelphia)
  • Each extra item costs less: mattress +$30, couch +$28, furniture +$29, appliance +$59, TV +$29 and e-waste +$19. (same page)
  • It is curbside pickup, with no crew in your home. (same page)

Which pricing model fits your job

Flat curbside prices suit a few items you can carry outside yourself. Volume pricing from a full-service crew suits in-home carry-outs and bigger loads. A binding on-site estimate suits a large job where you want the price fixed before work starts. To see where your own load lands, use the junk removal cost calculator.
